Spending time with people who have practiced Tai Chi for many years, the benefits are clearly on display. Physically healthy and vital, looking younger that their age, they are mentally clear and emotionally balanced. They tend to recover quickly from illness or injury and are resilient and persevering in the face of stressful events and challenges.
Recently, the medical research community has published a deluge of findings on the many benefits of Tai Chi practice. This article from Time Magazine is one of the best summaries of those finding that we have ever seen:
“Tai chi is a richly researched exercise, with health improvements ranging from better blood pressure scores to a sharper mind. “We’ve seen improved immunity to viruses and improved vaccine response among people who practiced tai chi,” says Dr. Michael Irwin, a professor of behavioral sciences and director of the Mindful Awareness Research Center at UCLA.
