The Seattle School of Tai Chu Chuan

The Tai Chi form is taught in three segments, or thirds:

  • Beginning Form, 1st Third — 12 weekly class, $200
  • Beginning Form, 2nd Third — 10 weekly classes, $200
  • Beginning Form, 3rd Third — 10 weekly classes, $200

The Beginning Form classes present the movements and relaxed flow of the Tai Chi form from one posture to the next. The classes are meant to be taken in sequence. Each class begins with a review of the previous one, then goes on to the new portion.

Many people only learn the Beginning Form, 1st Third, practice it, and benefit greatly.

Scholarships are available for Beginning Form, 1st Third for people under 35. Email us for information at centercfea@mac.com

New Beginning Form, 1st Third Classes usually begin in September, January, and April. If you would like to be notified about new classes, email us to be added to our mailing list.


Beginning Classes – Fall 2017

Class: Beginning Form, 1st Third.

Teacher: David Goodell, assisted by apprentices

Dates and time: Monday Evenings from 5:30-6:30. Class starts September 11, 2017. No Class on November 20.  Last Class on December 4. **All are welcome to attend the first class for free to see if it is a good fit.**

Location: The Good Shepherd Center, Lower Level, in Wallingford 4649 Sunnyside Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103

Cost: $200, $100 to repeat. Scholarships available for people under 35. Email to inquire.       Register now.


Class: Beginning Form, 1st Third.

Dates and time: Wednesday Evenings from 4:30-5:30 or 7:00-8:00.  Classes start September 13, 2017.  No Class on November 22.  Last Class on December 6.

Location: The Center for Classical Five Element Acupuncture, 1529 Queen Anne Ave N, Entrance on Garfield St.

Cost: $200, $100 to repeat.  Class limited to 12  – 4:30 class is full. 7:00 class has room.
